About Senior Dog Daily
We’re Sarah and Leo Bennett, and this site exists because of Lucy.
Lucy is our 7-year-old Border Collie. We adopted her from a rescue about four years ago. Although Border Collies aren’t usually considered senior until 8 or 9, we wanted to start preparing early.
That’s why we began reading.
We read veterinary studies, compare products, and take notes on what works and what doesn’t. Senior Dog Daily is where we share what we learn, so that other senior dog owners don’t have to start from scratch.
We are not veterinarians. We’re two people who love a good dog and want to give her the best possible care.
What you can expect
- Real experience. We share products and approaches we have used or researched in depth.
- Sourced advice. Every health claim links to a peer-reviewed study, a veterinary association guideline, or a credentialed expert.
- Transparent reviews. If a link in an article earns us a commission, it is disclosed at the top of that article. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage.
- Clear, useful writing. We get to the point and back it up.
What this site is not
This is not veterinary advice, and it is not financial advice. For a dog’s symptoms, ask a licensed veterinarian. For a policy, read the insurer’s own page and get the quote in writing before you pay. The same limits are in the privacy policy.
A note on our names
Sarah and Leo Bennett are pen names. Senior Dog Daily is researched, written, and checked by a small editorial team, and we publish under these two names so the site reads in one voice. What does not change behind the names: every health claim is linked to its source at the claim, product prices are checked against the seller before publication, and nobody on the team is a veterinarian.
